Shader created by Tobsick or BenedictButNotPapst
This shader is used to simulate an scan effect, right now not as looking good as the best but it's good, this will come with 2 versions one that turns the enviroment black, the other one is only scanlines right now not colorize-able so only white lines.
This shader is used to simulate a Scan Effect on a scene node.
V7 is with Black enviroment, V8 is with just the white Scanlines.
UPDATE -> Noise Effect, just adds a noise effect onto the white radius, this video shows the Noise with Scan:
Warning: The number of polygons in the node affects the shader.
How to use:
- Add the "Scan Shader" behavior to the scene or node.
- Set the ScanOriginA & B to "OriginNode"
- You can set the ScanLightStrength, ScanLoopTime, ScanSpeedA & B, ScanOriginA & B (set it for scan lines to the same scenenode) in the engine itself.

Good work
Wow! 😯 This is a game changer. I would love to you make a small tutorial on how to add this in a scene. Thanks!!
Hey Niven! I can make a tutorial in a few minutes but its actually just adding it onto an scenenode and use one second node that is playing the origin which you have to put 2 times the same node, the first node you select is a part of a circel or radius, and the 2nd is an 2nd radius, but if you wait a bit i can make a video
Here is it, be sure to have some polygons that the shader needs to work as expected: Tutorial for usage of the Shader
Thank you so very much mate!! Hope to use this soon in one of my future games.
