Hematite Engine is an new Game Engine I am working on, it should be more realistic and more performand than Bronzite which was purely Python and Opengl with Bullet, The Hematite Engine is going to be using C++ and DirectX 12/DirectX 12 Ultimate(Opengl and DirectX 11 currently major prio.) and Nvidia's-PhysX(Now it's Jolt for better performance) for Physics. The goal is to make an spiritual successor to Bronzite and maybe Coppercube which will take time considering that I am not an experienced C++ coder(Originally I am an Python and C in Python coder). The Hematite Engine won't be Open Source as always, I wanna be single dev.
Be aware the Engine will use DirectX 12 means an GPU that atleast is from 2015 should be there and for Ultimate an GPU atleast from 2022 is needed. (Idea is gotten out of the way since DirectX 12 still needs more effort and time, so support for DirectX 11 and Opengl (up to 4.6 currently in development) will be released as major releases, only after some time DirectX 12 might be there.)
This Project will be an long term project even though some tiny projects can be released but Hematite will be the Major project.
I am planning on making the Engine as an Freemium means base Engine is free, but some features will be needed to be paid.
This Project will take time considering the ever first build should have barely all features Coppercube offers. The minimum will be all Bronzite features + Proper 3D model importing. So please be patient.
